UCI was officially established on October 10, 2014. It established its development strategy of “becoming a leading provider of integrated solutions in digital transportation in China”. In the past nine years, UCI moved forward steadily in digital transportation, especially in urban rail cloud, winning numerous accolades.

After nine years of development, UCI, whose revenue was merely tens of millions yuan in the inception phase, increased its annual contract value to more than 2.5 billion yuan, with a compound annual growth rate of 89.55%. It has grown from a small office with just a few people to a national high-tech enterprise which has nearly 800 employees and 7 branches and 2 subsidiaries, a sci-tech reform demonstration enterprise of the State Council, a specialized and sophisticated "little giant" company and a Beijing municipal enterprise technology center.

In the past nine years, UCI has been dedicated to supporting the national strategy of building up China into a strong power in transportation, engaged in research and development, production, sales and installation of weak current system equipment in urban rail transit, and rendered full-system integration services, with businesses covering metro, inner-city rapid rail, light rail, tram and other fields. Constant efforts were made to expand its footprints to airports, comprehensive transportation hubs and other markets. Besides, it kept up with the development trend of the digital economy, innovated in products in fields such as digital cities, and provided digital solutions for smart cities, smart communities, smart buildings, and smart construction. Its business covers 28 provinces/municipalities and 60 cities across China.

In the past nine years, UCI has consistently intensified efforts to overcome difficulties in the research and development of key and core technologies for basic hardware and software and adhered to independent innovation to create independent and controllable products. It sold various types of equipment across China. The company provided a number of metro and tram lines with its self-developed cloud platform-based rail transit automation system that was set up with “Chinese chips” and operates with homegrown database software and operating system, whose shipments include over 6,400 intelligent control all-in-one machines, its core hardware, 15,000-plus AFC ticket vending machines and ticket checking machines, nearly 10,000 PIS controllers and nearly 50,000 cameras for the video surveillance system. It has made a strong contribution to promoting the transformation and upgrading of the urban rail industry.

In the past nine years, the company obtained 60 invention patents and 159 software copyrights. It won 1 special prize, 5 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 16 other prizes in science and technology. Three scientific and technological achievements, namely “Urban rail transit operation management system based on cloud-edge collaborative architecture”, “Low-volume intelligent integrated dispatching system based on cloud-edge collaboration”, and “Rail transit integrated automation system based on cloud platform”, were recognized as systems that have reached an international advanced level.

UCI remained true to its original aspiration and shouldered its mission during the three years of covid-19 pandemic when it placed equal emphasis on the fight against the pandemic and production. All employees rushed to the front line of pandemic prevention and control and project implementation and completed various tasks with higher quality. UCI posted a new contract value of 2.5 billion yuan for 2022, with a year-on-year increase of 107.7%. As of 2023, UCI maintains its leading position in the Chinese urban rail cloud segment and ranks second in the field of communications in the urban rail industry.

After nine years of development,
