In June 2023, UCI Fuzhou Independent and Controllable Intelligent Manufacturing Production Base was completed and put into trial production. After three months of trial production, the production line and process remained stable, and various control indicators reached high levels, which met the qualifications for mass production transition. On October 26, the production base held “Summary of Fuzhou Independent Production Base Trial Production & Production Lines Mass Production Transition Kickoff Meeting”. Liu Baodong, member of UCI Party Branch and deputy general manager of UCI; Sun Wei, member of UCI Party Branch, deputy general manager of UCI, and chairman of UCI Labor Union; Yang Yongjie, member of UCI Party Branch and chief accountant; Li Yan, quality director of UCI; as well as heads of relevant departments, attended the teleconference. Sun Jing, deputy general manager of UCI; Yang Xiuhui, director of Department of Supply Chain Management, as well as heads of UCI Production Center and relevant departments, were present.

Leaders who attended the meeting congratulated on successful trial production of UCI Fuzhou Independent and Controllable Intelligent Manufacturing Production Base, and expressed ardent expectations for the production center in terms of output, quality, costs, delivery time, services, production safety and other aspects.

Liu Baodong said that the formal launch of mass production at the production base not only tallied with UCI’s strategic development plan, but also aligned with national development strategy for semiconductor industrial chain. The production base should continuously innovate the construction of production systems and implement them thoroughly. Simultaneously, the production base should lay emphasis on production safety, environmental safety and occupational health & safety, do a good job in the management of hazardous materials, regularly inspect on-site working environment, vigorously build itself into a demonstration base, steadily promote industrial upgrading, and accelerate the development of related industries in Fuzhou.

Yang Yongjie stressed that the shift from trial production to mass production signaled large-scale mass production and marketization of UCI advanced independent and controllable manufacturing project, and further deepened the cooperation model with Fuzhou Subway and local upstream & downstream enterprises in Fuzhou. In the future, this will help UCI to expand its layout to the front-end industrial chain, explore new business growth points, strengthen its comprehensive competitiveness, raise business efficiency and profitability, and enlarge the interests of UCI and its shareholders. UCI continues to give financial support the production base to boost its innovation and development in the long term.

Sun Jing stated that as a window to showcase UCI’s strengths in independent R & D and production, on the one hand, the production base should do a good job in safety and environmental protection, continuously connect R & D with production, energetically improve the management of production process, and ensure full production & operation capabilities. On the other hand, the production base should further improve business & production management, reduce costs and increase efficiency, and raise the level of intelligent manufacturing & production. With mass production, all independently-developed products of UCI for Fuzhou Binhai Express will be made at the production base. The production base will strictly implement the quality policy of “scientific management, quality first, continuous improvement and customer’s satisfaction”, make unremitting efforts in production quality and quality innovation, and contribute all efforts to the transportation construction of Fuzhou with practical actions.

After the meeting, Sun Jing and others visited the SMT workshop, DIP, three-prevention workshop, laboratory, assembly workshop and automatic packaging workshop, learned about intelligent warehousing and other equipment & facilities, listened to the report on production base, workshop and production process, and conducted on-site in-depth exchanges with production managers.

In the stage of trial production, the production base produced various products such as “edge integrated machine” and “integrated machine fan”, all of which successively passed internal quality acceptance and reliability verification of soldering joints by ceprei. That “Summary of Fuzhou Independent Production Base Trial Production & Production Lines Mass Production Transition Kickoff Meeting” was successfully staged signified that the production base met conditions for mass production, and marked a solid step for UCI in improving its strategic layout and demonstrating its strengths in independent R & D and production.

As a UCI Independent and Controllable Intelligent Manufacturing Production Base, Fuzhou Production Base features strong independence and controllability, precise management level, automation of equipment & facilities, and an innovative digital approach. The production base covers an area of around 5,688 square meters, equipped with 2 SMT lines, 1 DIP line, 1 three-prevention anti-coating line, 1 automatic assembly line, 1 semi-automatic packaging line, and 6 manual assembly lines. The production base can provide customers with board welding & assembly and complete equipment for hardware products (units/hosts) such as automatic fare collection system, communications system, comprehensive monitoring system, security inspection system, fire automation alarm system, gas fire extinguishing system and intelligent control integrated machine. Additionally, it undertakes the tasks of customized design & production and procurement & matching of peripheral standard materials.
