Recently, Xi’an Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd. (Xi’an Rail Transit Group for short) held the Expert Evaluation Meeting for Xi’an Rail Transit Network Cloud Information Planning (Information Planning for short) at Xi’an Subway Building to review Xi’an Rail Transit Group Information Planning Report 2023-2027. As overall integrator and report-drafting party of Xi’an Rail Transit Network Cloud Information Planning, UCI was invited to attend the meeting, presenting the report on information planning.

Hou Jiuwang, deputy chief engineer of Xi’an Rail Transit Group, attended the meeting. Five experts, including Xing Zhiming, deputy director of China Association of Metros (CAMET) Expert and Academic Committee, and Peng Yanguo, deputy director of Data Resources Division of Xi’an Big Data Resources Management Bureau, were invited to listen to the report on information planning and review relevant materials. Leaders of companies and departments, including Information Office, Chief Engineers Office, Technical Center, Construction Branch, Operations Branch, Resources Development Company, and Investment and Development Company of Xi’an Rail Transit Group, and Neusoft Group, attended the meeting.

At the meeting, experts from UCI Xi’an Rail Transit Network Cloud Platform Project Team evaluated current businesses and development goals & strategies of Xi’an Rail Transit Group, and diagnosed current information construction and information application in various management fields of Xi’an Subway. On the basis of national and industrial standards such as The 14th Five-Year Plan of Xi’an Rail Transit Group, The Outline of Smart Urban Rail Transit Development, The Outline of Xi’an Smart Urban Rail Transit Development (2021-2035), Action Plan for China Urban Rail Transit Green Urban Rail Transit Development and other documents of CAMET, in combination with the study and research on the achievements in information construction of industrial leading companies, experts made an overall planning for the information construction of Xi’an Rail Transit Group in the next five years.

The report adheres to The 14th Five-Year Plan of Xi’an and The Outline of Smart Urban Rail Transit Development and Action Plan for China Urban Rail Transit Green Urban Rail Transit Development of CAMET, and adopts the TOGAF planning method. Based on thorough research, as well as relevant planning achievements of Xi’an Rail Transit Group, the report was formulated via the construction of network cloud platform project. The participating parties spoke highly of the report, unanimously observing that the report played a guiding role and possessed great significance in promoting the information construction of Xi’an Rail Transit Group. With clear strategic objectives and major tasks, the report draws a blueprint for information planning practically, with desired benefits.

Xi’an Subway Network Cloud Platform Project boasts one of 11 urban rail transit cloud projects of UCI. The project comprises cloud platform, comprehensive testing platform, corporate comprehensive management platform, and cybersecurity & engineering supporting facilities, and involves three lines, i.e. Line 8, Line 10 and Line 15. UCI will take this meeting as an opportunity to continuously improve and expand its capacity building, strive to build Xi’an Subway Network Cloud Platform into a high-quality engineering project, and provide more excellent and comprehensive urban rail transit cloud services for the development of Xi’an Subway.
