PROJECT OVERVIEW

Nigeria is located in the southeast of West Africa. Kogi State is a first-order administrative division with a population of 2,099,046 in Nigeria, and it is rich in mineral deposits, mainly limestone, marble, coal, iron ore, crude oil, clay, and rare metals such as gold mines. It has abundant petroleum reserves and needs improvement in poor transportation, backward communication facilities, and disordered public security. With years of information integration advantages, UCI has cooperated with the local government in the construction of smart cities, covering the fields of public security, traffic police, firefighting and other smart applications related to good governance, industry and people's welfare. The cooperation period between the two parties is 5 years (construction and operation periods).

The project construction focuses on smart city solutions, with video, GPS, and communication applications as the front-end perception foundation. Cloud computing serves as the core platform while big data information sharing acts as the business starting point aims to provide business empowerment in the form of services to the outside world, forming the architecture of "one cloud, one network, one center and N applications (intelligent transportation, "Sharp Eyes" Program, emergency command, etc.)". This will effectively provide managers and decision-makers with bases for making informed decisions. It will also enhance the management level of public security governance and traffic control services while providing citizens with improved life and work services. Furthermore, it will create a more favorable business development environment for enterprises and empower the government with more efficient operation and management mechanisms.
