Recently, the expert review meeting for the implementation plan of the cloud platform system project of Taiyuan Metro Line 1 Phase I was held in Taiyuan. This marks a significant step forward in the implementation phase of the project. The meeting brought together authoritative experts from the industry whose collective review provided solid technical assurance for the high-quality advancement of the project.

This meeting specially invited experts from various organizations: Xing Zhiming, former Deputy Director of the Experts & Academic Committee of the China Association of Metros (CAMET); Lou Yongmei, Director of Green Smart Urban Rail Construction Office of the CAMET; Zhang Jianming, Deputy Director of State Information Center Smarter City Development and Research Center; Zhou Shishuang, member of the Experts & Academic Committee of the CAMET; Yang Chengdong, Deputy Chief Engineer of Communications and Signal Design Institute, China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Group Co., Ltd.; Li Bai, Cloud Platform Manager, Information Technology Office of Xi’an Metro Group Co., Ltd.; and Ma Bochao, Deputy Director of Beijing Branch, Electrification Design and Research Institute of China Railway Group Limited. Xing Zhiming served as the leader of the expert panel for this meeting.

Attendees at the meeting also included leaders from Taiyuan Municipal Public Works Quality and Safety Station (Rail Services Center), leaders from Taiyuan Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd. including the Electromechanical Equipment Department and the Information Management Center, and representatives from the overall project design entity, design consulting entity, system design entity, and project supervision entity. Sun Jing, Deputy General Manager of UCI, and Liu Zhankun, Deputy Manager of UCI Taiyuan Branch, represented the company at the meeting.

During the review meeting, the implementation plan for the cloud platform system of Taiyuan Metro Line 1 Phase I was comprehensively presented, covering project overview, progress update, expansion implementation plan, current major issues, and next steps. Experts in attendance attentively listened to the presentation and conducted thorough deliberations and discussions on the plan.

The expansion implementation plan, a focal point of this review, received significant attention from the attending experts. They unanimously agreed that the preparatory work for the expansion project was thorough, the details for the machine room expansion were comprehensive, the network expansion plan was well-developed, and considerations for storage and security expansions were meticulous. The software expansion plan underwent thorough testing. Implementing these measures will effectively ensure the stable operation of the cloud platform system and the security and reliability of data. In the next phase, efforts will be made to complete equipment installment, testing and commissioning for the main center, backup center and testing center according to the plan, coordinate with business systems for cloud deployment, and complete the cloud platform’s integration with various business systems and testing.

Through comprehensive review and evaluation by the experts, the meeting concluded that the implementation plan for the cloud platform system project of Taiyuan Metro Line 1 Phase I is scientifically sound, thoroughly tested, and highly feasible and operational. It establishes a solid foundation for the subsequent implementation of the project. The successful completion of this review marks the entry of the project into a new phase, giving strong impetus to the development of Taiyuan Metro Line 1.
