Chengdu Rail Transit Ziyang Line Successfully Enters Empty Train Trial Run Phase

Recently, Chengdu Rail Transit Ziyang Line, co-constructed by UCI, has entered the empty train trial run phase, marking a significant step towards the goal of initial operation.
Chengdu Rail Transit Ziyang Line, Sichuan Province’s first intercity rapid rail transit line, starts at Futian Station on Chengdu Metro Line 18 and ends at Ziyang North Station in Ziyang City. Once operational, it will enhance transportation convenience between Chengdu and Ziyang, significantly improve travel efficiency for residents along the route, and usher in a new era of railway integration for Chengdu and Ziyang.
UCI is responsible for the design, integration, supply, installation supervision, testing and commissioning of the dedicated communication and public security communication systems for Chengdu Rail Transit Ziyang Line and Chengdu Metro Line 30 Phase I project. Currently, the Ziyang Line has entered the empty train trial run phase, while Line 30 Phase I project is progressing rapidly.
During construction, the UCI team upheld the “Artisan and Soldier’s Spirit to Ensure Mission Fulfilled”, overcame difficulties and challenges, and ensured the project’s smooth progress. During the testing and commissioning phase, despite the tight schedule and heavy workload, the team advanced the work methodically and completed on-site commissioning to high standards. This showcased the team’s professionalism and efficient execution.
The Ziyang Line is a rapid rail transit line connecting Chengdu Tianfu International Airport, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport New Town in Chengdu Eastern New Area, Ziyang Airport Economic Zone, and Ziyang City Yanjiang District. It is Chengdu’s first intercity railway line, a landmark project for the integrated development of Chengdu and Ziyang, and a crucial support for enhancing Ziyang’s overall competitiveness. The commencement of the Ziyang Line project marks a new phase of railway integration for Chengdu and Ziyang, making the vision of “working in Chengdu and living in Ziyang, or working in Ziyang and living in Chengdu” a reality.
Trial run refers to the non-passenger operation conducted after the integration and testing of all systems, serving as a crucial transition from construction to passenger service in rail transit. This phase involves simulating a real operational environment to assess the reliability and safety of various technical parameters of train operations and station equipment systems. The aim is to verify whether the train organization methods meet operational requirements and to provide a technical basis for developing a scientific and reasonable transportation plan.
