Recently, the China Federation of Electronics and Information Industry (CFEII) organized an expert review meeting for the Data management Capability Maturity assessment Model (DCMM) assessment. After rigorous evaluation and review, UCI successfully obtained the national DCMM Level-3 certification.

DCMM stands for the “Data management Capability Maturity assessment Model” of the national standard GB/T36073-2018. It is China’s first officially released national standard in the field of data management. The standard aims to help enterprises utilize advanced data management concepts and methods to establish and assess their data management capabilities, continuously improve data management organizations, processes and systems, and fully harness the value of data in promoting digital and intelligent development.

The standard analyzes and summarizes data management capabilities around the data lifecycle, with a focus on “organization, system, process and technology”. It identifies eight core capability areas: data strategy, data governance, data architecture, data application, data security, data quality, data standard, and data lifecycle. Data management capability maturity is divided into five levels, with DCMM Level 3 being the robust level.

In recent years, UCI has intensified its efforts in data management, using DCMM as a guiding framework. It closely integrates and optimizes business data across the company in alignment with its digital strategy. Concurrently, UCI has implemented comprehensive data organization and governance at operational levels, supporting multiple business scenarios such as project management and equipment maintenance, and enhancing decision-making support. This effort improves resource allocation efficiency, drives industrial upgrades, explores new growth opportunities, and actively pursues data monetization. Achieving the robust level (Level 3) certification signifies that UCI has reached new heights in data management and application and further solidified its position in data assetization.
