Pakistani Envoy Pays a Visit to UCI

On Jan. 18th, Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry, envoy of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in China, and Niu Hongyan, chairperson of JINGANDUN, together with their party went to UCI for investigation and exchange in the company of Wang Linghong, deputy secretary, director and general manager of UCI’s general Party branch and Liu Baodong, member of the Party branch and deputy general manager of UCI. Related comrades from UCI’s electromechanical installation department took part in the activity.
Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry and his party visited UCI’s “‘Ingenuity’Digital Experience Center”, “Urban Rail Transit Cloud Intelligence IOT Laboratory” and office environment and spoke highly of UCI’s products related to digital transportation and digital city especially the intelligent control all-in-one machine and fully affirmed UCI’s technical strength and innovative spirit.
After the visit, both sides made in-depth discussions and exchanges. Wang Linghong extended on behalf of UCI a welcome to Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry and his party and expressed gratitude to Pakistani embassy in China for its support to BUCG’s Sino-Pakistani projects. Wang Linghong talked in detail about BUCG’s on-going projects in Pakistan and focally introduced UCI’s basic profile, technical strength, R&D achievements and leading advantages in the field of smart city construction.
Wang Linghong said that Sino-Pakistani friendship has a long history and is as fresh as ever. He hoped that both sides can take this visit as an opportunity to further deepen the bilateral understanding and trust to widen pragmatic cooperation in the construction of the “China-Pakistan Economic Corridor”. He said that UCI is willing to draw on its own technical advantages in terms of cloud platform, big data and artificial intelligence to provide still more professional and in-depth services for the construction of Pakistan’s digital transportation and digital city to help Pakistan to realize its digital transformation and upgrading. He added that UCI is also willing to become a messenger to integrate Chinese and Pakistani civilization and to make more active efforts for the linkup of Chinese and Pakistani cultures and for the promotion of the understanding of friendship and cooperation.
Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry, envoy of the Pakistani embassy in China, expressed thanks for UCI’s reception. He spoke highly of the achievements scored by UCI in the fields of digital transportation and digital city. He said that UCI’s experiences are of valuable significance for Pakistan to draw on. He said that Pakistan is now actively advancing its digitization progress and is endeavoring to embrace new technologies and industries in order that digital transformation facilitates the all-round development of the economic society.
Muhammad Aslam Chaudhry stressed that China and Pakistan are traditional friendly countries and there have been a broad basis and a huge potential for cooperation between the two countries. He said that the Pakistani embassy in China will support as always the Chinese enterprises including UCI and will provide all-around support and help in facilitating big data projects to be implemented in Pakistan and in promoting Sino-Pakistani cooperation in the construction of smart cities. He expected that more excellent Chinese enterprises like UCI will go to Pakistan in the future to contribute Chinese wisdom and strength for the development of Pakistan.
Both sides also made exchanges in terms of railway upgrading and reconstruction in Pakistan and the construction of Gwadar Port. Both sides unanimously agreed that the visit and exchange not only deepened the understanding and friendship but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. They believe that through concerted efforts closer cooperations will be made and a better future will be jointly opened up.
