UCI and GTEP Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

Recently, a delegation led by Kou Xin, Deputy General Manager of Hangzhou Guotai Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. (GTEP), visited UCI for a discussion. Zhang Hui, Secretary of the Party Branch and President of UCI, accompanied them. Wang Cheng, Deputy General Manager, and Xiao Yeyuan, Head of the Corporate Research Institute, from GTEP; Yang Shuang, President, and Guan Mingfei, Director of the Marketing and Operations Department, from Shanghai Yipeng Transportation Technology Group; Sun Wei and Sun Jing, Deputy General Managers, Wang Jing, Board Secretary, Liu Zhufeng, Director of Innovation Business, from UCI, as well as representatives from UCI Hangzhou branch, participated in the discussion.
UCI and GTEP, represented by Wang Cheng and Sun Jing respectively, signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Leveraging GTEP’s leading expertise in sludge treatment and recycling, environmental and ecological restoration, and resource recycling, along with UCI’s strengths in digital transportation and smart city construction, the two parties will collaborate on technology research and market validation and explore the industrialization of emerging businesses by focusing on the technological needs of low-carbon and intelligent urban sewage and sludge treatment, circular economy and waste-free city construction, smart buildings and building energy conservation, industrial energy conservation and clean production, data centers and virtual power plants, and the intelligent and low-carbon rail transit industry.
Before the symposium, Ms. Kou Xin and her delegation visited the company’s Ingenuity Digital Experience Center and Urban Rail Transit Cloud Intelligence Internet of Things Laboratory. They were briefed on the company’s latest scientific and technological innovations and development updates, with a particular focus on the application of its technical prowess in combining “cloud, edge and end” for smart construction, construction sites, and property across various domains, and the originality and advanced features demonstrated during the practical application process.
At the symposium, both parties introduced their own overall development and conducted in-depth discussions on specific directions and models for future cooperation. They agreed to strengthen technological exchange and collaborative research and development, jointly exploring the application of environmental protection technologies in smart city construction and transportation and promoting innovation and development in related industries. The symposium laid a solid foundation for future collaboration, and both parties expressed confidence in the prospects of their partnership and look forward to deepening cooperation in more fields.
Mr. Zhang Hui stated that GTEP has demonstrated technological innovation and dedication to practical applications and environmental protection in areas such as sludge treatment and recycling, environmental and ecological restoration, and resource recycling. These efforts resonate deeply with the efficient, green, and sustainable concepts upheld by UCI in the sectors of digital transportation and digital cities. This collaboration will merge the expertise of both parties in data analysis and prediction, sludge treatment and resource recycling and enhance the accuracy and intelligence level of urban resource management to create a new model of industry cooperation. Looking ahead, Mr. Zhang Hui is confident in the broader application of their cooperation results and the establishment of a benchmark status within the industry.
Ms. Kou Xin emphasized that UCI’s continuous innovation and breakthroughs in digital transportation and cities, along with its exploration and application of cutting-edge technologies, have set a benchmark for China’s urban rail transit and digital city construction. GTEP has long been committed to research and practice in environmental protection and recognizes the importance of cross-border cooperation in fostering genuine innovation. The strong alliance between GTEP and UCI will provide an excellent platform for both parties to explore new possibilities in technology integration and innovation. Ms. Kou Xin is also very optimistic about the potential for cooperation in emerging fields such as smart city construction, industrial energy conservation and clean production, data centers and virtual power plants.
