Recently, UCI completed the quality and safety briefing organized by the Taiyuan Construction Engineering Quality Supervision Station for the Phase 1 Cloud Platform System Project of Taiyuan Metro Line 1. The project also passed its initial quality inspection. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the construction of the Phase 1 Cloud Platform of Taiyuan Metro Line 1.

As a crucial part of Taiyuan’s smart metro construction, this cloud platform continues to adhere to the guiding principles of building smart metros in Taiyuan. It implements innovative measures to interface with the existing cloud platform of Taiyuan Metro Line 2. By integrating cloud computing, big data and the Internet of Things, the project achieves comprehensive expansion, deep interconnection and intelligent integration of the transport network cloud platform system to lay a solid foundation for the intelligent development of Taiyuan metro.

The cloud platform of Taiyuan Metro Line 2, built by UCI, is the first cloud computing platform in China to support a fully automated operating system. It is also a standardized cloud platform system constructed in accordance with the Urban Rail Transit — Technical Specification for Cloud Establishment issued by the China Association of Metros. In constructing the line 1’s cloud platform, the project team from UCI not only maintained the unique advantages and advanced features of the line 2’s but also expanded the service scope of the data platform. They established a comprehensive data operation system and achieved efficient management of the entire data assets of Taiyuan’s urban rail transit. Additionally, the project team was the first in the country to build an integrated operations management center, combining cloud, security, operations, network and data, which robustly supports the intelligent, centralized and efficient operation management of urban rail transit in the city.

For the sake of smooth progress, this quality and safety briefing and initial inspection thoroughly reviewed aspects such as project architecture, personnel allocation, safety emergency plans and construction organization. The project team took full advantage of the meeting and the initial inspection to deeply analyze the potential safety hazards and implement practical and effective corrective and preventive measures, significantly enhancing the overall safety management level of the project.
